about the artist
Elena Aldoshkina now lives in the village of Fedoskino a few miles outside of Moscow. She was born in Dmitrov, a small town in the Moscow region, in 1962. This grand master graduated from the Fedoskino School of Lacquer Miniature in 1983 where she had such brilliant teachers and painters as Dyuzhaev, Fedotieva, and N.P. Aldoshkin (her husband's father). Elena uses oil paints, gold foil, and mother of pearl inlays to create some of her works such as "Seasons", "Dandelions", and "In the Evening". She also favors the use of soft blue, blue with gold and other soft pastels shades of oil paint in her works. She considers important elements of her compositions to be cleanness of pattern, since of poetry, and of course beauty. She is convinced that the work on a lacquer miniature never ends. She feels that admirers of her works probably appreciate the fineness of the painting, the color schemes and the execution and Elena would like to personally thank all of those who have purchased her works. It gives her great joy to know that her works are so well appreciated.
In her spare time Elena likes visiting different exhibitions, travelling and reading.
